ArtsBridge 2019 National Art Contest Dates and Information
ArtsBridge is excited to announce our 5th Annual National Art Contest! This contest is open to ALL at-risk youth with entries being accepted in the following four categories: Colored Pencil, Mixed Media, Pencil and Watercolor. Opening date for submission is September 30th, 2019. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category and a Best In Show winner will be selected from these winners by a panel of Celebrity Judges! Dates for the contest are as follows:
- Sept. 2-Sept. 27 Art Contest Announcements and weekly updates
- Sept. 30 Art Contest is open for submissions
- Oct. 31 Art Contest closes for submission at midnight (NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED)
- Nov. 4 Online Voting Opens
- Nov. 15 Online Voting Closes
- Nov. 18-22 Celebrity Judging for Best In Show
- Dec. 2 Announce Winners for the 2019 Contest
ArtsBridge Annual Art Contest Rules:
ONLY 1 SUBMISSION PER STUDENT. Each participant must submit an entry form for the category/media they are participating in (Pencil, Colored Pencil, Watercolor, Mixed Media)
Only entries in the 4 approved categories/media will be accepted. Any questionable submissions will be reviewed and returned per art contest rules.
Submission must be an original work of art, not traced or copied. Artwork must not contain gang related artwork or language. If a submission has any questionable content, the ArtsBridge Art Contest Committee will review submission and has the right to refuse submission or request a re-submission. (*Artwork should be tasteful, as it will represent you/your facility nationally).
Each submission must be photographed, and a JPEG or PNG file emailed WITH one application per submission by midnight of the contest deadline (October 31, 2019). NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE
Entries will be reviewed and posted on our website for national/international anonymous voting beginning on November 4, 2019 and closing midnight of the final day of competition, November 15, 2019. (*Any entry that is found to contain inappropriate artwork or does not meet entry guidelines for that category may be remitted with request for clarification if prior to contest deadline.)
1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category/media as well as Best In Show will be announced on December 2, 2019. (Original works may be requested to be utilized to create prints that will be auctioned or sold for fundraising opportunities.)
ArtsBridge Annual Art Contest Prizes:
1st Place (Chosen for each media): 1st Place Ribbon, Art set, $100 gift card for a Pizza Party
2nd Place (Chosen for each media): 2nd Place Ribbon, Set of Pencils, Colored Pencils or Watercolor, $50 gift card for Pizza Party
3rd Place (Chosen for each media): 3rd Place Ribbon, $25 gift card for Pizza Party
Best In Show: (Chosen from 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners in all categories by Celebrity Judging Panel): Best in Show Ribbon, Tablet w/digital arts program loaded.
All winners will have their artwork showcased on the ArtsBridge Website and Facebook Page for one full year.

Entry must be completed utilizing multiple media (i.e. 2 or more) such as watercolor, pen and charcoal. Entry can also be 3 dimensional using media such as clay.

The Emanuel Project helps reshape the future of marginalized youth by discouraging the negative stigma that they carry and replacing it with positive visual imagery of hope that generates their spirit to better themselves.
